What is coin khakra
Centuries of crunch, shrunk into a coin.
Khakra started in Gujarati kitchens as a clever way to make roti last: rolled thin, slow-roasted on the tawa, crisp enough to keep for days. We took that centuries-old crunch, shrank it into little coins, boxed it, and brought it to Narsinghpur for the first time.
Roasted, not fried
Dry-roasted on a hot tawa under pressure until crisp — little to no oil, never deep-fried.
Made to travel
Dry and sturdy, it needs no refrigeration and survives a train journey — Ahmedabad to Narsinghpur.
Boxed to gift
A neat box of coins beats loose discs — portion-friendly, less mess, easy to share over chai.
